tbh it’s telling that so many queer women think that their husbands having a “thing” for lesbians is a sign of their openmindedness, or acceptance of their own bisexuality or w/e, whereas in lesbians – seeing men with that trait is probably one of the most terrifying things in the world.

I was reading a book once about the early development of Christianity (like in the 1st century) and in the middle of this serious history book, the author went on a really weird tangent about his life and how his favourite porn genre was lesbian porn (??? yeah it’s just a thing that happened in a history book about Christianity. Male authors can really do whatever the fuck they want, it’s exasperating. It’s Emmanuel Carrère’s Le Royaume, for French people who might decide to avoid this author forever.) And he quoted his wife as saying she felt lucky to be married to such a pure, selfless man, because his preference for lesbian porn proved that he only cared about women’s pleasure, not his own.
