This pride month let’s remember those who came before us, and remember our community’s history. Remember the AIDS crisis, remember the rainbow flag, remember stonewall. Remember black trans women and what they did for us.

Remember that Marsha P. Johnson was a gay man and identified himself as such, and labeling him as a trans woc for your weird political agenda is erasure of the hard work that gay men and women have done for our community.

Stonewall was ignited by Storme DeLarverie – a black lesbian. Marsha P. Johnson, a gay drag queen, was also present.

This is gay and lesbian history. Calling it anything else is homophobia.
