yknow ive been thinking a lot abt that post where that trans woman talked about binding her feet to make them smaller and less male-appearing and it really just made me realize that the reason trans women define their womanhood through femininity is because femininity is all men think we are. males forced us into femininity and now they have no idea who or what a woman is outside of this structure. they think that women are only the things theyve given to us and nothing else, that women are man-made. they cannot fathom that we are whole people and that we have qualities we’ve cultivated ourselves, independent of the oppressive sterotypes theyve shackled us to.
