also I know it’s not that deep but there’s this one funny twitter post that’s like “women use 500 skincare products and men use one dove soap & men’s skin is still better lol” that’s kind of been bothering me bc like…. idk if it’s bc men’s skin is “better” so much as, as a society we’re acclimated to the image of seeing men grown and old and wrinkled and stuff so it’s more “accessible” to see a man not be Perfect. men are compared to the worst in their sex & rewarded for “not being that bad” whereas women are compared to the best of their sex and punished for “not being that good” idk
