“A Canadian man lied to a doctor to change the gender on his birth
certificate — all to save some dough on car insurance, according to a
report Monday.

“I’m a man, 100 percent. [But] legally, I’m a woman,” the Alberta resident, identified only as David, told The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. “I have taken advantage of a loophole.”

David, 24, called an insurance company last year for a quote on a new
Chevrolet Cruze he planned to buy — and learned he’d be charged $1,100
less per year if he were female, he told the outlet.

“I was pretty angry about that. And I didn’t feel like getting
screwed over any more,” he said. “So I asked them to change my gender on
my auto policy, and [a rep] was like, ‘We can’t do that.‘”

The worker told him he needed to be listed as female on official
government documents before she could do that, David said. So he did
some research and learned he could easily change his gender with a
doctor’s note.

“It was pretty simple,” he said. “I just basically asked for it and
[said] that I identify as a woman, or I’d like to identify as a woman,
and he wrote me the letter I wanted.”

He shipped the note and other paperwork to government officials and
received a new birth certificate stating he was female three weeks
later.
“I was quite shocked, but I was also relieved,” he said. “I felt like I beat the system. I felt like I won.”

He then changed the gender on his driver’s license, called the
insurance company — and saved about $91 a month, according to the
outlet.
His only motivation was to get a cheaper deal.

“I didn’t do it to point out how easy it is to change genders,” David
said. “I didn’t do it to criticize or ridicule transgender or LGBT
rights.”

In June, officials in Alberta scrapped the doctor’s-note requirement
and began allowing adults to declare their gender as M, F or X, for
gender non-binary people.

Men under age 25 are more at risk of getting into a car accident than
women the same age, which often makes their insurance premiums higher,
according the Insurance Bureau of Canada.”

Gender is officially wholly and utterly meaningless. Thank you, trans activism!

Meanwhile, young women (especially poor ones) will have to pay more for theie insurances when they have less incidents. Fuck you, trans activism.
