It’s the 25th anniversary of Lorena Bobbitt cutting off her husband’s penis, and just a friendly reminder he was a rapist and abuser and she was found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect because of PTSD/Battered Wife Syndrome. She now volunteers at a domestic violence shelter and runs a foundation dedicated to DV education.

What we should do to all rapists

People always hold her up as proof of misandry or as a joke but in my opinion she did the most rational thing she could in that situation. A man uses his penis as a weapon to torture you? Remove the instrument of torture. He lost his penis-having privileges when he raped her.
