It boils down to a dichotomous typology:

Gay male “trans women” :

-come from a homophobic society, their femininity and homosexuality are shamed and often brutally discouraged. In response, these men transition and try to pass, and if successful, they overcome the repurcussions of homophobia by becoming “straight women”.

-Generally non-violent, goes to the bathroom and doesn’t assault anyone.

-Often gets involved in prostitution to pay for surgeries.

Heterosexual Male Autogynophiles (Transbians)

-Totally or mostly gender conforming in youth, often masculine (so no dyphoria).

-During or after sexual development in puberty, these dudes become autogynophiles (meaning aroused by “being” a woman).

-This is often paired with other paraphilias (bdsm, kink, sometimes pedophillic tendencies (stephoknee wolscht anyone?), fetishes of varying extremity).

-It begins with cross dressing, masturbating in panties, shit like that, but it escalates into full psychotic autogynophilia, these guys either think that they ARE women (more common now than then) or that they should BECOME women through surgical and hormonal intervention, which they likely find sexually exciting.

So let’s look at some examples in the media:

Type 1: Janet Mock, Magdelin Burgdorf, Gigi Gourgous (though he’s a “lesbian” now so?), Carmen Carrerra, Laverne Cox, Jazz Jennings

Type 2: Caitlyn Jenner, Stephoknee Wolscht, Lana Wachowski, Fallon Fox
