Men who watch porn almost never stop watching porn because they care about the harm porn causes towards women. The excuses they use are “well I couldn’t get a boner anymore” or “i couldn’t bond with women anymore” or “it took over all of my thoughts.” I’ve never heard a man say he stopped watching porn because he realised that he’s literally getting off to rape on tape or that he has damaging views on women in every day life because of porn. Conclusion: even the men who stop watching porn do not care about women. They only care about themselves and their boner.

I need you to understand that not only has pornography irreparably harmed millions of men’s sexual function but it has also damaged their ability to respect women.
Porn is overwhelmingly violent and degrading towards women even in the “tame” categories.
And even with all that considered the fact is you can’t know for sure if the woman you’re watching being brutalized really consented to the acts she was subjected to, because producers and directors will threaten actresses with lawsuits for “violating their contracts” and pays them to talk at length about how much they “love” what they do.
If porn isn’t about degrading women then why is our degradation the most popular feature?
Considering that possibly as many as 99% of men ages 18-35 have watched porn, even a self-centered reason to stop watching is better than nothing 😦
