de beauvoir told us that the reason women cant see our oppression is because unlike other minority groups, we live lives entirely entwined with our oppressors and it all seems normal.

this is why female only spaces are important. we need to be alone together when we speak so we hear more “yes!! that’s exactly what happened to me too!!!” and less “shut up, that never happens”.
