I was browsing the bookstore today to kill time & I found a terfy ass book

I started reading it- it has a whole section on detransitioners, including some familiar names like cari callahan & crash. It has a section on “reassignment” surgery, & why it doesn’t actually reassign your sex bc that’s impossible. It has a section on dysphoria (with a subsection on brain sex studies), it has a section on transing children & the side effects of medical transition. I didn’t get to read all of it but it seemed really really informative but also critical, but also not harsh.

I’m gonna see if I can find a pdf of it to share- I think it’s very cool.

Look at this terf king (the author)

PDF here

The author of this book is a conservative man. His other book is titled Truth Overruled: The Future of Marriage and Religious Freedom, and he has coauthored a book called What Is Marriage? Man and Woman: A Defense. He is not, in any way, shape, or form, aligned with radical feminism, and it’s safe to say he isn’t quoting detransitioned people (who are very often L, G, or B, and have far, far more empathy for transgender people than I imagine Mr. Anderson does) out of a genuine desire to support them. Detransitioned women have spoken out before against the ways in which their words are co-opted by right-wing people who absolutely do not have the best interests of LGBT and gender non-conforming people in mind.

The fact that anyone who considers themselves to be aligned with radical/rad-leaning/gender critical feminism would want to associate this man with radical feminism and proceed to promote his writings is deeply, deeply concerning to me.

Please do better.
