Whenever I see lesbians on this site using the word terf in a serious context I’m like..sis you know they mean you too right, no matter how much you distance yourself from the Bad Gays?

My gf doesn’t Tumblr much but the other day she came across this lesbian girl’s selfie with the caption “happy pride, except terfs” and was confused as to why “terfs” were even being brought up in such a context so I explained her that a lot of lesbians have to virtue signal like that because it’s becoming so common for nonlesbians on Tumblr to flat-out distrust any lesbian blogger who isn’t explicitly anti-terf.

And she was just “I don’t trust anyone who’s not a terf to be honest” lol

I usually assume that the lesbians who virtue-signal defensively and harmlessly with a few “except terfs!!” comments at the end of their posts are real lesbians who hope it’ll be enough and they’ll be left alone, while the lesbians who virtue-signal aggressively and who constantly look for terfy posts to attack are bi women who enjoy feeling like the better lesbians.

And it’s always funny in a sad way to see an anti-terf lesbian suddenly branded as a terf over a stupid thing, feeling so confused and indignant about it, like… honestly, what made you think you were safe… It’s like the straight women who date a guy who says all women are crazy bitches and somehow convince themselves that since they’re special and definitely not a crazy bitch, it won’t end badly.
