Idk, Tumblr Trans™ folks can be pretty scary but I’ve met so many genuinely dysphoric people just trying to get by. Hell the first time I even heard about the so-called “Cotton Ceiling” was my gender fluid ex mocking it with one of my other friends, a trans girl. This same trans girl confided in me how lonely she felt loving women whilst she was undergoing transition but said that she wouldn’t expect a lesbian to be comfortable having sex with her, saying she hoped to find and “understanding bi girl.” I know trans people who denounce the lesbophobia and rape rhetoric coming from a small, but vocal part of their community. And whilst we should critique Transactivism, we must recognize that as GNC people they do face a substantial amount of oppression, and criticism should be constructive and not hateful for the sake of it, much like we can critique Zionism as a political movement without being antisemitic. This has been a kind of rant/ ramble but there’s gotta be a way of engaging with these people without being like “sorry about your dick bro” as well as letting people with dysphoria live.
