someone brings up “genital preferences”?  Says shit like “I guess you can your preference but it’s still kinda weird and gross :/”

don’t appeal to them with the pain you’ve suffered.  bringing up your own pain endlessly is emotionally fraught work

instead say “you’re disrespecting the thousands of women who have been legally forced into asylums and physically/sexually tortured b/c they wouldn’t have sex with men, got depressed because of having sex with men, or because they were having sex with women.  ‘Genital preferences’ (but only in regards to vulvas) was reason enough for society to legally torture women in recent (and ongoing) history and you disrespect their enormous suffering by treating it with such repugnance.  Treat our sexuality with nothing less than absolute respect.”
