The woman who created Clitter was inspired by the fact that she saw dicks everywhere and vulvas almost nowhere. 

About six months ago I got married, and my lady crew threw me a full-on bachelorette party. There we were, a bunch of fabulous women speaking our truths and drinking wine, when I looked up and realized we were surrounded by dicks: penis straws, penis lollipops, pin the junk on the hunk and of course penis confetti. I thought, “Why are a bunch of powerful ladies sitting around celebrating dicks? That’s insane! It’s time we started celebrating VAGINAS!“ 

I Googled it and was astonished. There was pretty much no vagina confetti, or vagina paraphernalia of any kind. So that night, surrounded by plastic penises and my favorite women, the idea for Clitter was born. 

If you’re offended by representations of vulvas and not by representations of dicks, that’s your problem.

More dirty terf products at the arcade! I read this post and then immediately walked by a claw machine with dick plushies inside. Yes this is supposed to be cute, with their sunglasses and beards and aprons on. Each dick is unique and has its own personality.

You’ve probably guessed already but there were no vulva plushies to be found. Personally, I’ve only seen vulvas represented in a medical or otherwise super serious context like protest or feminist art. Female genitalia is not allowed to be cute, or unique or ironic. It’s only allowed to be seriously consumed. I want vulvas to be silly and adorable too. I want a vulva plushie and I want pussy glitter!
