idk why police officers being monitored to make sure they’re performing their duties ethically and within legal parameters is such a controversial topic because if I recall they’re a fan of using the whole “if you’ve got nothing to hide you’ve got nothing to fear” shtick to justify harassing civilians it’s almost like they’re full of bullshit
Most employers have cameras watching their minimum wage workers every waking hour of their shift and will use the footage to punish them for shit they’ve done on the clock–bad or not–so I don’t see why cops think they get this special privilege of not being Big Brother monitored like the rest of us.
even ppl’s internet activity is monitored closely in a lot of the world so like why do cops deserve their privacy to kill black people and other minorities when people working RETAIL are monitored???
