every time i think about how far ellen degeneres has come i get a little teary-eyed. she went from losing her tv show, becoming blacklisted in hollywood cos no one wanted to work with an openly gay person, having to defend herself and her sexuality on the oprah winfrey show (with oprah’s support, shoutout to oprah) to having one of the most successful talk shows of all time and having a loving wife and being pretty much the person whose attention you wanna grab on social media cos going on her show pretty much guarantees you fame.

ugh i’m so proud of her.
