Why is violence against women and misogyny when studying history always ignored as just part of the times? Gandi is so highly praised even though he was horrible to women and everyone still thinks of him as a saint because “it was just how society functioned to view women as lesser” Why do we question the morals of men who have performed unjustly in battle or have committed other crimes viewed negatively by society but praise war heroes and so-called saintly men who were just as violent to women? Our society still barely recognizes violence against women as equal to other crimes
