And sure, trans people and gay gender non conforming people have a long history, the gay community doesn’t tend to be against trans people just existing, recently trans people as a group have been doing a lot of things that make the rest of the community very uncomfortable, like pressuring lesbians to be with amab people (as an example.) If you feel like you’re gate crashing something that you’d historically be welcomed in the problem might be your recent behaviour and as trans people we have a duty to shut that shit down before people start associating trans with rapey-authoritarian-controlling rhetoric. Ignoring the discomfort and resentment we’re starting to create for the rest of the community and just shoving harder is only going to make things worse and is in general; Not a Good Look™️
