They’ve pretty much gotten to the point of claiming that every women’s issue and sexism issue belongs to them. It’s a manipulative tactic, its easier to claim they’re more oppressed than women when they’ve painted the narrative that women don’t suffer any exclusive or unique issues as a class.
The comment on the bottom really sums it all up too, huh? “How much longer until a pack of invalidating assholes ruins this post too?” That’s really all it comes down to for them, at the end of the day. Validation. That the fact of how menstruation can be a traumatic and painful experience for many women doesn’t matter to them. That many of us suffer from periods so painful and debilitating that we literally have scars on our stomachs from where we tried to dig our goddamn uteruses out of our bodies. Scars that we made with our fingernails and a razor when we were 16, after just getting home from our thousandth doctor’s appointment ending in yet another blatant dismissal of our pain. Nope, that doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter how much women and little girls across the globe have suffered for centuries due to our periods. All that really, truly matters is that some men in dresses get a pat on the back and told they’re good little girls. Absolutely fucking vile.
❤ I’m sorry you went through this, just how hard it is to live as a woman in regards to males disregarding our menstruation struggles is another reason why this type of article is SO distasteful and sexist. How much suffering you’ve gone through, and for male people to claim they know what it’s like to suffer menstruation, and try to claim they’re the victims of it, and make it about themselves is appalling.
Especially considering they’re ALWAYS shutting down women who bring up menstruation. Saying talking about it is terfy and transphobic. Saying it’s not an important part of womanhood.. and then daring to make and share articles about their own supposed menstruation like they haven’t silenced women for it a thousand times.
They don’t experience menstruation, it IS about having the right parts. You cannot experience it without the right parts!!
Menstrual cycle: The monthly cycle of changes in the ovaries and the lining of the uterus (endometrium), starting with the preparation of an egg for fertilization. When the follicle of the prepared egg in the ovary breaks, it is released for fertilization and ovulation occurs.
Taking synthetic estrogen to mimic the hormone released for this physical process =/= a period. These assholes know nothing about having a period and then claim to experience it.
Trans activists: Periods are not central to womanhood! You don’t need a period to be a woman!
Also trans activists: Trans women have periods too, therefore they are women! Take that, terfs!
