hey, this might be a total shock to some of y’all, but saying “gay people shouldn’t kiss at pride b/c it makes me uncomfortable” is…….. homophobic ……

UNLESS you are ace and experience extreme discomfort at seeing such large amounts of PDA. Guess what? We still deserve a place, just as much as those gay people kissing at pride.

actually no. you need to go to therapy, not pride. come back when you’re not homophobic! jesus fucking christ!

It’s not homophobic if it applies to straight people too. Pride just has a lot more kissing than anywhere else.

oh, yeah, it is. homophobia isn’t some philosophical object. it’s a type of oppression. if you say that gay people shouldn’t kiss each other at pride, that’s homophobic. it doesn’t matter if you’re evangelist or asexual or sex-repulsed or whatever else reason you have. the reason you have in your head doesn’t change your homophobic actions or their harmful effects.

People shouldn’t kiss at pride. People shouldn’t kiss in public at all. The fact that that includes gay people doesn’t make it homophobic.

people shouldn’t kiss in public? like ever? what the fuck are you saying? are you good?

imagine if someone with a phobia of snakes went to a reptile convention saying “um!! this is actually exclusion of ophidiophobic people!!!! we deserve a place here too :)”
