“Friends tell KATU News that the suspect was hitting on the young woman, but she refused his advances.
“I said leave us alone because we’ve got nothing to do with you,” said the victim in the video.
Police say that led to a physical confrontation, which eventually led to the stabbing. People at the scene comforted the victim as she waited for an ambulance to arrive.
Multiple people could be heard saying, “You are going to make it, you are going to make it, the hospital is not far.”
