things im tired of in movies, tv shows or games:

– seedy strip club scene for free male gaze

– tomboy only gets accepted by friends and love interest after changing her appearance

– physically strong and unfeminine women being villains or used for comedy

– girl meets immature douche and “fixes” him

– flawed female main character only gets “better” after finding a male love interest

– moms in sitcoms being batshit crazy and the dads always being the voice of reason

– women being the healer or support character by default

– female character dies so as to give a reason for the male main character to be edgy

– tomboy explains that the only reason she’s more masculine is cause she grew up with a lot of brothers

– dude stalking and harassing girl he’s into is played as harmless and awkward at worst

– women from ancient times looking like they’re top models

– alternate universe where anyone can have magic or super powers and everything seems to be more advanced but women are still basically second class citizens

– every single lesbian character that exists being highly feminine or conventionally attractive so men can still enjoy watching their scenes if they happen to enter a relationship

– the way that a lot of symptoms of actual mental illness get dismissed as the woman being hysterical, in “those days” or just a bitch 

– public demonstrations of love by men that are trying to convince apologize for doing something bad to their love interests which in real life would probably only serve to embarrass the woman and put her on the spot in public. 

– the Final Girl archetype that rewards only women that are pretty, innocent and pure (i.e. virgin) 

– and finally just the whole Femme Fatale routine
