compulsory heterosexuality is real, and it hurts so many young lesbians…

as a teenager and young adult, I pretty well forced myself into relationships with males. why? because I was so convinced that I was “straight.”

it took me years of questioning this social conditioning to recognize the innate internal desire that I have to be with women. years of wondering why I liked all my female friends more than my male partners. years wondering why I couldn’t find a sense of intimacy with a man.

and then finally….everything clicked into place. I was never meant to be with men. my heart was always with women, and it always will be.
