My college has a problem with men dominating the gym space and making it a very uncomfortable place to be as a woman. Men have been taking pictures of women working out. Very very few women use the gym as result. I was discussing this with another women and said that I didn’t understand why they didn’t just designate a part of the gym for women only. She said, “having a women only space would be exclusionary” and we should have a “quiet space” for “everyone”. Women are being sexually harassed and yet we are still expected to put male feelings first?
