I just a SportsGirl add (a clothing brand) and they were listing the types of “relatable” clothing they have (ie: comfy, political, fun, quirky) and then they had q*eer. Ahhhh it made me so uncomfortable. Because one, I knew they meant LGBT and two, LGBT isnt a style of clothing!! We aren’t a trend. My god. I’m still a lesbian regardless of what clothes I’m wearing. It is so small but it just made me uncomfortable. Plus the model that said it probably wasn’t LGBT. So now straights can say slurs
