Ok.
First: when buying heels make sure to buy at the end of the day. Like you should have been up and about for hours before trying them on. This way your feet at their most swollen which means when you wear them you will have room for when they swell up.

Second: break them in. Wear them around the house for 30 minutes a day for a few days before you wear them out the first time. I usually do this for 3-7 days, the higher the heel the more days you do. This helps your feet and leg muscles get used to walking in them. If they still hurt the same they did on day one by the third day though return them, they are cut wrong for your feet.

Third: if the shoes allow for it try wearing those little socks with the cushion pads on the heel and ball of the foot. If the shoe doesn’t allow for that use band-aids friction block stick to protect those areas and reapply when it becomes uncomfortable. do not wait until it already hurts, it’s a blister by then.

This is what I do with my heels and I’m usually pretty good wearing 4 inchers for like 6 hours (not daily mind you). So these tips should help.

No. If you have to do all of that bullshit just to wear a pair of goddamn shoes, you shouldn’t be wearing them. This is absolutely disgusting. Are you seriously promoting this shit as if it’s normal? Really? Heels destroy your tendons and feet. (Yes, even if you don’t wear them daily, “~*mind you*~”.)

Op, if you’re cry while wearing heels, they’re clearing not something you’re “choosing” to wear, but instead something you feel pressured to wear by society. Don’t listen to this bullshit. You don’t have to wear heels. If your job requires it, that’s seriously misogynistic and if you’re able to fight that, you should. If you can’t, get something with a low, thick heel, not some damn stilettos like this person is telling you.

If you’re just forcing yourself to wear them for no other reason than because you think you want to: DONT. Heels are just another way to keep women vulnerable, and to keep us in that oppressive little prison of “femininity.”

Please step back and read your original post, and genuinely take note of just how absurd what you’re saying is. Then ask yourself, would a man ever, in a million years, make a post like this about a fashion accessory?

If you’re ever in a situation where you must wear heels:

Avoid any heels higher than 2 inches or 5 centimeters tall. The closer your heel is to the ground, the less damage caused to your body. Keep it to “chunky” heels, so that you can reduce the permanent misshaping of your toes. 

Remember, heels are NEVER healthy, you can only REDUCE the harm when you’re forced to wear them.

Never wear them for more than 3 hours in one day, and never more than twice in one week. The more frequently you wear them, the more your body becomes damaged. Stretch your calf muscles every day, but be warned it will hurt a lot if you already have damage from heels.

In my opinion, they’re very similar to cigarettes. They destroy your body. Just like cigarettes don’t only destroy your lungs, heels don’t only destroy your feet.

TL;DR: Don’t wear high-heels. Ever.
