i understand the validity of emotional labor and tone policing, but so much of activism i see on here is just being mean, it’s not productive or helpful. and i don’t mean being rude to nazis or homophobes, i mean being nasty to kids and teenagers with good intentions that are still learning and stumbling through the nuances of activism. 

if your politics aren’t coming from a place of kindness or compassion, then it is nothing more than a points game and you should feel bad.
