As lesbians we really have to stop diminishing ourselves for straight and queer identified people’s comfort. Stop letting them get away with saying that your orientation doesn’t matter. Stop letting them insinuate that your sexuality could include men. Let them know that your being a lesbian is an integral part of you and make them face it. They should be uncomfortable with their homophobia.
