Archaeology Toad!

Hi Stickies! 

I am an archaeologist who works in the Southeastern US. Almost every morning when we go out to our site we have toads that have fallen into our excavation blocks. I am usually the one who catches them and releases them away from the excavation blocks. However, last week we had a toad who apparently wanted to participate in the excavation and worked a sizable hole in the wall of this block over night!

He even managed to find a quartz flake while he was digging in there! He didn’t seem too happy when we told him that he needed to leave though. I wasn’t able to get the best photo, plus he was completely covered in sand from his archaeological endeavors! But here is the tiny archaeologist:
