I was walking past the Lgbtq club at the campus wide event today, they had a table covered in rainbows and flags. I saw someone who formerly LOVED me and was supporting me through a really bad period of self harm. Smiled and waved to her
Deadpan did not respond. She just looked in my direction and didn’t acknowledge me
I was absolutely close enough for her to see me, but i guess my issue with the club must have permanently altered my standing with the community here.
You know, things i argued like:
“A male heterosexual person will never understand the experience of a lesbian”
“Gay people should never be pressured into accepting opposite sex relationships, and saying otherwise is homophobia no matter your reasoning”
“Exclusive same-sex attraction exists”
Then again, this group is also the one overseen by a bisexual trans man who told me “I don’t understand what you mean by same-sex attraction?”
I’m not surprised, but I am disappointed.
