I am really tired of the “sex is a social construct” argument. Listen, when 50% of the world population is no longer disproportionately affected by rape, domestic violence, genital mutilation, filicide, lack of reproductive freedom, forced marriage, etc., then I’ll be perfectly happy to sit around and debate the semantics of whether biological classifications are socially constructed! Until then, sex-based oppression is, for all intents and purposes, a real thing that exists, and I’d like to be able to name the problem, thanks!

Also, like 95% of the people who make this argument claim to be Marxists, but they are suddenly incapable of understanding material analysis when it comes to the topics of sex and gender.
